Skillet is an exclusive event born from the intention of cultivating entrepreneurial spirit and culinary shades among students. The event, designed for the students of College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, opens new doors for the students to explore the industry with first hand experience in their academic life beyond the theoretical knowledge and hospitality skills.

The event will involve students of CHMCT fully taking over the operations of Cafehous Reeka & Le Petit Amour for two days. The students will be responsible for managing various aspects of a restaurant, from finance, operations, to inventory management and kitchen. During the entrepreneurial endeavour, the students will be counselled and led by mentors and AISSMS CHMCT alumni Chef Sarvesh Jadhav & Chef Amber Rode. The students have been under training prior to 20 days of the event preparing them to handle challenges and pressure of working in the hospitality sector. This unique initiative to educate beyond the ordinary has been made into reality with the efforts of AISSMS CHMCT and UDAAN –Innovation And Startup Cell.

AISSMS is an educational institution that prioritises not only Quality Education to the students but also practical skills that will shape them into capable and highly potential professionals in their respective domains. In pursuit of this resolve, various institutions under the wing of AISSMS seek such initiatives to mould students into qualified professionals, competent entrepreneurs, and skillful aces in the industry. This vision and legacy is being carried by hon Secretary Malojiraje Chattrapati whose precious guidance helped Skillet become a unique reality. The principal of CHMCT, Dr Sonali Jadhav is also responsible for conceptualising and leading the initiative. AISSMS CHMCT has gained the tag of Silver jubilee with entering into its 25th year. To celebrate this achievement, the college has been keen on conducting a variety of novel and exciting programs for its students, and Skillet is one of the outcomes of this as well.
