Chef Sanjay Mitra has vast experience in hospitality spanning from having worked as Chef-de-Partie with Taj group of Hotels at various Locations in India, as Sous Chef and Executive Chef with Starwood group of Hotels at various locations in India, Serum Institute of India (Cyrus Poonawalla Group), High-end Catering & Assembly Line Set up (pre-opening) with Yarzin Sella and Dan Hospitality for the first Apple Office in Bangalore. He also sailed the seven seas and travelled the world on board various Ships as head of the Catering & Housekeeping department. Before Covid 19, he took a break from the Hospitality Industry and worked as a General Manager of Pan India Sales & Service for the distribution of state-of-the-art cleaning equipment & chemicals from the Netherlands and Bulgaria. His passion for learning & teaching resulted in changing his path and getting into academics very recently in the year 2023.

He has always been interested in Teaching ever since he taught his son and daughter throughout their primary and secondary education. He loves interacting with the young generation, which keeps him updated at all times. He has more than 33 years of experience in the Hospitality field and as a Chef. He has been involved in the training & setting up of standards related to Food Safety & Hygiene for various organizations & helped them achieve their required score & standards and wishes to see a drastic Improvement in Food Safety standards across the Hospitality sector & Food Industry in India in the near future.
