Dr. Honey Tyagi is currently a HOD Accommodation Operations of AISSMS College of HMCT.
She started her career as a Front Office Assistant with the renowned Spa in the world, Ananda in The Himalayas-Destination Spa, Uttarakhand in 2001 during her tenure she was also awarded as Best performer of the Year. She moved to Taj Blue Diamond, Pune as a Guest Relations Executive and simultaneously, she efficiently performed the duties & responsibilities of Duty Manager.
She possesses an ability to identify, understand and give priority to urgent issues. Her friendly personality and charisma has helped her to connect with guests and received many compliments from guests during her tenure in Hotels.
Her teaching career as a Faculty started with International Hospitality School, Kohinoor-IMI in 2005.She has also contributed in the field of Research by presenting her first research paper in National conference in September 2006. She has published several research papers in National and International journals. Furthermore, to her professional credit, she has co-authored a book on Basic Rooms Division.
Since August 2007, she is working with AISSMS CHMCT as an Assistant Professor-Accommodation Department. She has also taught subjects like: Environment Management, Hospitality Marketing, Human Resource Management, Revenue Management, Tourism Management, Computer Fundamentals, Research Methodology and her specialized subject of Front Office and Housekeeping Management.
She was awarded an international certification for ‘Train the Trainer’ in August 2022 VET by Ecole Hospitality Lausanne, Switzerland.
She has been involved in designing syllabus for various subjects based on Credit system and also NEP 2020. She has contributed in NAAC and NBA accreditation of AISSMS CHMCT. She has been invited as a speaker for various forum related to Careers in Hospitality and Revenue Management. She is an approved Assessor since 2015 for Qualification pack-Front Office under Tourism & Hospitality Skill Development Council (THSC) by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Gurgaon.
Dr. Honey Tyagi obtained a Ph.D. guideship from Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly University of Pune) in 2022 and has been mentoring three research scholars. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Reviewer Board for various research journals.
