The Board of Students’ Development (BSD) safeguards student rights and fosters holistic growth of students through various developmental activities. It promotes mental, physical, and cultural development to shape students into confident, responsible citizens ready for global challenges. One of its key initiatives, the Nirbhay Kanya Abhiyan, empowers female students by building self-confidence and providing self-defense training. BSD supports a wide range of student-centric programs including cultural events, sports and youth festivals. It also oversees important functions like the Anti-Ragging Cell, Disaster Management Cell, and Personality Development Scheme. Through these efforts, BSD ensures comprehensive personality development and a vibrant campus life.
Nirbhay Kanya Abhiyan:
This is a scheme introduced by the University to develop the confidence and personality of a lady
student who comes from the rural areas and are deprived sections of society. The main objective of
this scheme includes development of self-confidence how to defend oneself in any situation, training
in self defense and finally make them fearless and be ready to face any unwanted situation. The
scheme is open to all lady students in all colleges and institutes. The university makes available
requisite funds for undertaking this activity.
